The Story Of Us received a well-deserved critical drubbing when it was released. In fairness, time can be good to some movies. But this isn’t one of them.

However… there’s at least one great scene in this otherwise out-of-tune drama that every entertainment marketer simply must see. And that’s Paul Reiser telling Bruce Willis why nobody would be interested in reading a book about his f#@king Grandmother!

We all take the audience for granted. Reiser does a fantastic job of explaining all the other things the viewers are worried about, and why they are probably not going to do what you want them to.

Think of it as a commandment in the gospel of the attention economy.
